Vendetta is the name of an HBO original movie starring Christopher Walken. It is based on the actual events that took place in New Orleans on March 14th, 1891. Eighteen Italian-Americans were accused of the murder of the local sheriff. After their acquittal, eleven of them were shot or hung by an angry mob in one of the largest mass lynchings in American history.
