During the era of Muhammad, there were several persons who considered themselves as enemies of Islam. Utba ibn Rabi'ah was one of the prominent Leaders of Quraish. Utba's father was Rabi'ah ibn Abd Shams. Utba's daughter, Hind bint Utbah, married Abu Sufyan ibn Harb, another of the Leaders of the Quraish and Muhammad's arch-enemy. Utba had two sons, Abu Hudhayfah ibn Utbah and Walid ibn Uqba, and a brother, <insert name>. m m m,./our cousins. Muhammad said, "Get up Hamzah. Get up Ali. Get up Ubaydah ibn al-Harith. Hamzah went forward to Utbah, I went forward to Shaybah; and after two blows had been exchanged between Ubaydah and Walid ibn Uqba, they wounded one another severely; so we turned against al-Walid and killed him, and we carried Ubaydah away." abudawud Book 14, Number 2659
