Three ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Michigan in honor of the U.S. state of Michigan.
- The first USS Michigan, the Navy's first iron-hulled warship, launched in 1843, operated on the Great Lakes for her entire career, was later renamed Wolverine and decommissioned in 1912. This ship effectively ended the Fenian invasion of Canada by intercepting Fenian supplies intended to cross the Niagara River between Buffalo and Fort Erie, Ontario.
- The second USS Michigan (BB-27), a South Carolina-class battleship, saw action against Mexico and escorted convoys during World War I.
- The third USS Michigan (SSBN-727), the second Ohio-class submarine, no longer serves as a ballistic missile submarine, but will be converted into a guided missile submarine (SSGN).
