- Houston (AK-1), a transport during World War I
- Houston (CA-30), a heavy cruiser commissioned in 1930, sunk in 1942
- Houston (CL-81), a light cruiser commissioned in 1943, decommissioned 1947
- Houston (SSN-713), a Los Angeles-class attack submarine, commissioned in 1982, still on active service as of 2007
