The Treaty of Den Haag (also known as the Treaty of The Hague) was signed in 1661 between representatives of the Dutch Empire and the Portuguese Empire. Based on the terms of the treaty, the Netherlands recognized Portuguese imperial sovereignty over Recife in Brazil.
