Tom Barrett (1835-1926) was an entrepreneur. Barrett owned produce businesses, He was born in Europe. served in the Union Cavalry for Wisconsin in the civil war. He was a founder of Glendale, California, a NE suburb of Los Angeles, California. His seamstess sister Isabel made dresses for Republican President Herbert Hoover's wife and several famous 1920's actresses in Hollywood .he is buried at Forest Greenlawn in Los Angeles.
