Timothy Peters (born August 29, 1980) from Providence, North Carolina is a NASCAR Busch Series driver. He is a former member of the Richard Childress Racing driver development program. He is now driving late models at South Boston Speedway.
Racing career
He began his NASCAR career in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2005. He had two Top 10 finishes in 16 events in the #4 Bailey's Cigarettes Dodge for Bobby Hamilton. In 2006 he drove the #4 Dodge Motorsports truck for Bobby Hamilton for most of the year, earning one top-ten at Milwaukee. However, Peters left the team in early September and joined Richard Childress Racing, where he was to share their #21 Chevy with Kevin Harvick in the Busch Series in 2007, before he was released.
Family
Timothy is married to Sara Haskins Peters. They were married on May 19, 2007. He is the son of Cindy Peters and the late Tony Peters.
