Timon is a town in the State of Maranhão, Brazil, located at 5°5′38″S 42°50′13″W / -5.09389, -42.83694. There are 146.139 inhabitants (2006 estimate). Timon (old Flores) is a Brazilian city of the state of the Maranhão, being its third bigger city, either in population, economy and voters. Situated in the left edge of the river Parnaíba, having as verge east, of the side of the state of the Piauí, the city of Teresina, being part of the Great Teresina History is the native city of the younger representative of all politics of Brazil, Luciano Leitoa, of the world-wide bichampion of fall-of-arm, Chicão and also of the world-wide bichampion of jiu-jitsu Kilson Mota. It was the second northeast city to possess a recycling plant. E is a city where the lack of responsibility and commitment of the administrators reigns.
