Time of Your Life was a Party of Five spinoff starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, playing the role of Sarah Reeves, the same role she played in the parent show.

Plot

The show was centered on Hewitt's character's new life in New York City as she tries to find out more information about her biological mother's life in New York City before she had Sarah, and search for her biological father. Along the way, Sarah moves into her mother's old apartment and makes a new group of friends.

Debut & Cancellation

Time of Your Life first aired on October 25, 1999 and it was cancelled, in the middle of its first season, on June 21, 2000. Despite Hewitt's prestige at the time, the show was not well-received and had poor ratings.[1] The original pilot for the show had to be completely reshot and largely rewritten before Fox would air it.[2] The FOX Network tried to save the show by putting it on a hiatus that lasted five months. Fox promoted the return of the show in June 2000 as part of its "Summer of Love," a reference to Hewitt's name.[3] However, despite the promotion, the show's ratings remained low, and it was cancelled with seven episodes remaining unaired.
