For the theme park see Thorpe Park. Thorpe Park is re-created village name. Thorpe Park was an RAF Barracks on the outskirts of Woodhall Spa built during World War II, which closed in the 1960s. It has recently been recreated as a place name, and there is a small Visitors' Centre displaying the RAF history. Thorpe Park does not appear on any current maps at the time of writing (March 2005), but is to be found just outside Woodhall Spa on the road to Coningsby.
