Thomas Sutherland (Chinese: 蘇石蘭 1834 - 1922), a Scotsman, was the Hong Kong superintendent for the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company (P&O), when he established The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, the founder member of HSBC Group, in Hong Kong in 1865.
