The Robin Hood is one of the three flagship named passenger trains operated by East Midlands Trains in the UK. There are two trains named the "Robin Hood"; the 0630 train from Sheffield to London, St. Pancras via Nottingham on weekday mornings, and the 1700 train from London, St. Pancras to Nottingham on weekday evenings. Neither train runs on weekends. Both trains are timetabled to be operated by East Midlands Trains Class 222 8-car Meridian trains and run on the Midland Main Line. EMT's two other flagship trains are the Master Cutler and the Midland Express. The first use of the Robin Hood name however was in 1958 when British Railways gave the name to the 0815 from Nottingham to London. Unusually, this avoided Leicester and stopped only at Manton. In the reverse direction however, it also stopped at Bedford, Wellingborough and Kettering. The train lost its name at the end of the summer 1962 timetable.
