105.7 The River is an FM radio station broadcasting from Albury, New South Wales, to South West New South Wales and North East Victoria. But originates from Albury, New South Wales. The River also has translators in Falls Creek, Corryong and Omeo.
Station history
The River launched on 31st July 1998, and was one of the first RG Capital Radio Network stations built from the ground up. The first song ever played was “Many Rivers to Cross” by Toni Childs. The station initially broadcast from 6am-6pm, and covers the same broadcast region as we do today. A few noteworthy events have happened in the past few years.

Community Events
In 1999, the River ran a promotion called “Million dollars worth of work” where in conjunction with Drake employment, they found one million dollars worth of jobs for residents of the Border. In 2003, the River ran the “Water for Summer” campaign which distributed over 2 million litres of water to 360 drought affected farmers. In recent times, The River has supported many community charities including Freefall for Yes 2006, White Balloon Day, Young Achievers in the Performing Arts and Applause Festival.
