The Outsider Festival is a Scottish music and comedy festival first held in 2007 in the Rothiemurchus Estate near Aviemore. It has been described as a new ground breaking environmental festival, the first of its kind in the world.[1] In midsummer over the solstice weekend located in the Rothiemurchus forest only three miles from Aviemore, The Outsider Festival, re-defined the open air festival. With a main arena but uniquely spreading throughout the area from the Cairngorms to the lochs and forest trails of this most beautiful part of Scotland, The Outsider Festival offers a huge range of outdoor opportunities and activities as well as a highly selective programme of world class live entertainment on several stages.[2]
