Notable works

Anime include the series InuYasha, Ranma ½ and most of the installments in the Gundam metaseries, including Mobile Suit Gundam, Char's Counterattack, Gundam Wing, Endless Waltz, and both Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny. They also did the original English dub to both the first and second seasons of Dragon Ball Z, the first three Dragon Ball Z movies, and have also worked on Hamtaro, Cardcaptor Sakura, Maison Ikkoku, Monster Rancher, Infinite Ryvius, Jin-Roh, Silent Mobius, The Vision of Escaflowne, Zoids: New Century Zero, The SoulTaker, .hack//Roots, Death Note, Black Lagoon, and MegaMan NT Warrior. Outside of anime, they have recorded the voices for American animated series like Exosquad, X-Men: Evolution, and Fantastic Four (2006).

Notable voice actors

Common misapprehensions

Because of the company's name, many fans have assumed that they are a "group" of voice actors who have joined together to work on certain projects. This is incorrect, as The Ocean Group's staff are mainly technical and administrative personnel, and all the voice actors are freelancers employed on a project to project basis. Also, this belief, combined with the fact that The Ocean Group is the most publicly known voice over producer in Vancouver, has fostered a frequent assumption in fandom that all projects featuring Vancouver voice actors were done by The Ocean Group. This, again, is incorrect, as there are several other companies drawing from the same talent pool, including BLT Productions (He-Man), Voicebox Productions, Inc. (Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Cybertron, Zoids: Fuzors), Studio B Productions (Class of the Titans, Being Ian), and Mainframe Entertainment (ReBoot, Beast Wars).
