The Lonely Silver Rain is a 1985 novel by John D. MacDonald that concluded his 21-novel Travis McGee series. Like all of its predecessors, its title contained a color and it featured the adventures of its protagonist, a "salvage consultant" and houseboat resident. It is notable for the introduction of McGee's daughter Jean. The work was published a year prior to the author's death.
