The History Channel UK is a British television channel broadcasting programmes related to historical events and persons. The channel is owned by a joint-venture between British Sky Broadcasting and A&E Television Networks, owner of the American The History Channel. It was launched in November 1995 and was the first version of The History Channel to launch outside the United States. Since the launch of The History Channel UK, the company has extended its line-up with:
- The Biography Channel in October 2000
- Crime & Investigation Network on July 10, 2006
- The History Channel HD on October 26, 2006
