The Heart of a Woman (1981, ISBN 0-553-24689-5 ) is a memoir by Maya Angelou, and was chosen as an Oprah's Book Club® selection. The Heart of a Woman is 273 pages long and basically picks up where I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings left off. The memoir is committed to telling her relationship with her son and the men that were in and out of her life. It goes through her time as a head of the SCLC in New York and being an on the road entertainer.
