"Tennessee" is the title of a number-one R&B single by group Arrested Development. The hit song spent one week at number-one on the US R&B chart. The song contains a sample of Prince's "Alphabet Street". The song first charted in the UK in 1992 outside of the Top 40, but after the Top 10 successes of both "People Everyday" and "Mr. Wendal", the song was re-released the following year and entered the Top 20 at #18, which would become its peak.
