Music style
"TWINS (Knock Out)" is the cover of a song by British boy band, Triple Eight. The original song is called "Knock Out," and was released in early 2003. A Chinese version of the song was released soon after the official version, and it was a remake by Taiwanese boy band, Energy, released in late 2003. The song is called, "Retreating Dark Files" (退魔錄). "TWINS (Knock Out)" is a rock-influenced number, with efforts of rap incorporated. The other tracks in the single are either ballad or dance tracks with rap.
Music video
Similar to the lyrics and music style of the song, the dance choreography displayed for the music video contains quick and tough body movements. The snatching movements of the wrist, elbow, and any other joint on the arms and legs were richly used in a form of a robot using popping and locking of body parts. Unlike Super Junior's other dances, sliding and waving were rarely used in the dance. It is said that the movements of a flying eagle was an inspiration to the choreography. "TWINS (Knock Out)" revolves around love that was destroyed and betrayed although the main theme is to encourage one to keep their dignity and courage. It reads the contrasting feelings between a man towards love and how he has to decide whether or not he should continue to love her or fight with sticking to his own destiny. In the music video there are many scenes where the members are surrounded by fire.
