Symphony in C is a ballet made by George Balanchine, New York City Ballet's founder and ballet master in chief to Bizet's Symphony No. 1 in C major (1855). The premiere took place July 28th, 1947, at the Paris Opéra Ballet, Théâtre National de L'Opéra, as Le Palais de Cristal. NYCB Premiere October 11, 1948, City Center of Music and Drama
