Style-productions.net is an online moviemaking community which focus is on gaming movies, founded by the movieteam Style Productions in 2006. Among the page's main features are news, media, guides (tutorials) and the forum. Their tagline is "We got style, do you?" The main focus of the site is on fragmovies, but there has also been released a few more humorous movies featured on the site, amongst others the "Style vs. Chillside"-series, which depicts the movieteams Style Productions and Chillside in battle about their skills within moviemaking.[1] It is a considerably large community, and has grown to a number of over 7,000 members in less than a year, which is more than 20 persons joining per day. It's aim is to become the largest moviemaking community in the world, and it probably is. A Google search for "moviemaking community" shows that Style has the most members of the top ten results (per 2007-11-04)

History

Style-Productions was founded June 11, 2004 by Roy Christian Wego and Marius Larsson. At the time the crew consisted of four local boys from Saetre, Norway. The crew expanded fast after Jasper Wiese and Kenneth Aulie joined up. Being one of the best Call of Duty players in Europe, Kenneth gave the small team a large amount of attention. The wheels really started spinning when the team's first Swede, Andreas Bengtsson was recruited and Jasper released his first Style-Productions project which was a trailer for the Norwegian Counter-Strike clan "Credo". Even though it was no big release at the time, it did shed some light on the team and really spread the word about Style. Several months later, Style got in contact with www.counter-strike.nu, which was one of the biggest Counter-Strike communities in Scandinavia at that time. A deal was made, and Style became the site's official movie team. The deal with them was a big step for the team, giving them the opportunity to pick projects from the top shelf which was the beginning of a swarm of event movies from Style. Style has had its fair share of joiners and leavers, but they now have a solid team with everything from 3D animators, machinima-writers, regular video editors to a firm website staff.
