Strong City is a town in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 42 at the 2000 census.
Geography
Strong City is located at (35.670772, -99.599334)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 42 people, 16 households, and 15 families residing in the town. The population density was 82.2 people per square mile (31.8/km²). There were 17 housing units at an average density of 33.3/sq mi (12.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 85.71% White, 9.52% Native American, and 4.76% from two or more races. There were 16 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 6.3% were non-families. 6.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 2.60. In the town the population was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 26.2% from 25 to 44, 16.7% from 45 to 64, and 28.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 82.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.3 males. The median income for a household in the town was $27,500, and the median income for a family was $27,500. Males had a median income of $23,750 versus $26,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $13,474. There were 12.5% of families and 21.4% of the population living below the poverty line, including 37.5% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
