Stephen Pusey (born 1952) is an artist. After graduating from St Martins School of Art, UK, in 1975, Pusey created monumental public murals around London until the end of the decade. In 1986 he emigrated to New York, USA. Although his New York debut at P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center was an exhibition of paintings, by the early 1990s the focus of his work again became public art - using digital media and the world wide web. In 1994 he founded the online art and discussion hub, Plexus, with curator Yu Yeon Kim with whom he curated, "Omnizone, Perspectives in Mapping Digital Culture", in 1997. In 1996 he also helped establish, with other online organizations, the Foundation for Digital Culture. Stephen Pusey's current works are large abstract paintings that appear to contain a linear flux of shifting forms.
