Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers (SK6ers) is an American rock band featuring lead singer Stephen Kellogg, bassist and keyboard player Keith 'Kit' Karlson, drummer Brian Factor, and lead guitarist Kyle Riabko. Several members hail from Massachusetts, and went to school at UMass. The Sixers have developed a moderate fan base by touring almost nonstop year-round. In the last two years, they have performed over 300 shows, and have been steadily moving thousands of copies of their independently released albums.[1]

Instrumentation

Each member of the Sixers brings their own contributions, and many of them have expanded instrumentation in live shows. Although their principal instruments are listed below, they will often switch to other instruments depending on which song they are playing. The full instrumental make-up for the Sixers in concert is as follows:

  • Stephen Kellogg - Principal vocals, Acoustic guitar, Harmonica, Kazoo
  • Keith "Kit" "The Goose" Karlson - Electric bass, Keyboards, Keytar, Accordion, Backup vocals
  • Brian "Boots" Factor - Drums, Backup vocals, mandolin
  • Chris Soucy - Electric guitar, Electric bass (when Kit is on keys) (temporarily not touring with the band)
  • Kyle Riabko - Electric guitar, electric bass (when Kit is on keys) (replacing Chris Soucy)
