Solitude Aeturnus is an American doom metal band that was started in spring 1987 as Solitude, in Arlington, Texas. In 1990 they changed their name to Solitude Aeturnus due to legal problems with another band named Solitude. After two demos Kris Gabehardt found that he could not reconcile his personal beliefs with the heavy metal attitude any longer and quit. A replacement was found in Robert Lowe.
