Slater Menswear is a tailors founded in 1973, in its present location on Howard Street in Glasgow, Scotland. This Glasgow store holds the Guinness World Record as the world's largest single menswear store. It has 23 stores across the UK, with by far the largest being the original store in Glasgow. The company has expanded considerably since the mid-90s, having had only one store before that point. At one stage there was talk of an expansion throughout the UK to as many as 40 or 50 stores but this was cut back. The company has a strong customer service ethic, and is notable for being mostly located off the High street, saving on building costs and therefore allowing for lower prices than most rivals.
