Sheffield is a town situated 20 km inland from Devonport on the North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia's island state. At the 2006 census, Sheffield had a population of 1,034.[1] It has become a major tourist attraction due to it becoming a town of murals. Murals helped to increase the town population. The township has a population of approximately 1000 inhabitants. Cradle Mountain is located approximately 1 hour south west of the township.
