Shaun Gallagher is an American philosopher. He is the chair of UCF philosophy department, co-editor of the journal Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences, and author of How the Body Shapes the Mind, Hermeneutics and Education, and The Inordinance of Time. He received his Ph.D from Bryn Mawr College, and has previously served as a professor of philosophy at Canisius College. His work deals with phenomenology, philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and hermeneutics.
