Shadowland was a British progressive rock band of the 1990s. The band's music tended to the most pop side of progressive rock, while retaining its melodic and emotional intensity. In fact the band could be classified as "Progressive Pop" as its music is both complex and easy listening at the same time. By the time Shadowland split up Nolan was already performing in a new band called Arena, which had a heavier musical style. Nolan has also been Pendragon's regular keyboardist since 1986.
