A sex swing is a type of harness specifically for the purpose of sexual intercourse in which one partner is suspended while the other moves freely. Though there is considerable variety in the exact specifications, the most common sex swings have a support for the back, another for the buttocks and stirrups for each leg, which can be adjusted whilst the user is suspended.

Advantages

The advantages of sex swings include being able to adopt sexual positions not otherwise possible and providing a more comfortable sexual experience for both partners by reducing the limitations of weight and gravity. This may be of considerable benefit if one or both partners is overweight or disabled.

Disadvantages

The disadvantages include high cost, large indiscreet and cumbersome equipment, and the placing and installation. Swings not properly installed or fixed to an overhead point unable to bear weight may cause them to collapse while the user is suspended. Swings are, despite the disadvantages, popular and widely available, particularly on the internet.
