Saturn (Сатурн) detachment was formed in 1992 as a part of the Russian UIN (УИН) — Department of Punishment Execution. Its tasks include:

• preventing crimes on the territory of Moscow detention facilities
• searching for and capturing especially dangerous criminals
• securing the special operations
• saving the hostages captured by the criminals
• protecting the high-ups of the Ministry
