Controversy
Many Pokemon fans still dislike the way she plays Ash as it sounds nothing like Veronica Taylor. She has stated in an interview that she is trying to make Ash be and sound more like herself and less like Veronica Taylor. She admitted that when auditioning as Ash, she thought that she was so bad that she knew that she wasn't going to get the job. Of course, she got the job anyway. Many fans also believe that she is not consistent with her voice as Ash. For example, at the beginning of one line, she makes Ash sound feminine and by the end of the line it sounds much more masculine as if another person is talking.
