Sant Joan d'Alacant (San Juan de Alicante in Spanish) is a municipality belonging to Alicante metropolitan area, in the southeast of Land of Valencia, Spain. It is located 8 km north-east of the provincial capital, Alicante, and 3 km west of the 7-km sandy beach called Playa de San Juan, in the Costa Blanca. As of the census of 2005, the population was 19,711.
