Samuel Morrow (born March 3, 1985 in Derry, Northern Ireland), also known as Sam Morrow or Sammy Morrow, is a professional football player, currently playing for Derry City F.C. in the FAI League of Ireland.

Career

Morrow, who was raised in Limavady, was one of a number of young players at Hibernian, including Chris Hogg and Antonio Murray, who were signed by former manager Tony Mowbray from his old club Ipswich Town, where he was youth coach. He only started 8 matches in his first season with Hibs, but proved to be very useful as a substitute. He scored a number of important goals, including two in wins over Dundee and Dundee United. Morrow was a regular in the Northern Ireland U21 squad. In the January 2006 transfer window Morrow was loaned to Livingston F.C until the end of the season. This loan spell at Livingston was a personal success until he suffered cruciate ligament damage in April 2006. This injury was expected to keep him out of action for several months, so Livingston immediately returned Morrow to Hibs. He started a further loan spell, with Partick Thistle, in March 2007. In July of the same year he moved to Derry City, his birth-city club.[1]
