Salomé is a Mexican telenovela that starred Edith Gonzalez and Guy Ecker in 2001. The story begins in the year 1980 in Mexico City.

This story takes place in the 1980's. Salome is a cabaret dancer who was abandoned by her mother as a child. She became the star of a cabaret named "Salon D'Rubi. One day she met the brother in law of "Diego Duval." A low life gambler who hussles money from his dying sister "Angela" who was Julio's wife. The day Julio goes to the cabaret, a huge fight breaks out, injuring Salome's ankle. To not have legal issues, and because of her ambition for a grandson. Lucrecia Montesino, Julio's mother has Salome stay with them until she is fully recovered. During this time Julio and Salome create a romance that can be seen by all. Monica after finding out was heart broken but accepted it. When Salome had recovered Julio went to the cabaret to find her. She soon become pregnant, forcing her to quit her job and move in with the Montesino's. Lucrecia was delighted to have her, only for the grandson which so so deeply desired. After offering Salome 10,000,000 pesos in american it is a million, Manola the maid also Lucrecias half sister convinced her to keep her child. She decides to keep it and kidnaps him with the help of Hipolito and Piro. She decides to move with Julios son and Hiplitos 2 kids. His wife Martha's dream was to become an actress so she abandoned him and his 2 kids to become famous. She raised them well, but 20 myears later they decide that they want to go to college in Mexico City. There Salome is reunited with her long lost love. But it is no fairy tale ending yet. She comes back to find the cabaret a place where they no longer have class, to find her friend Karicia an alcoholic, and to have problems with te woman fighting for Julios affection Rebecca Santos. When the loving couple goes to Oaxaca, they spend a lovely time which soon becomes a nightmare. Diego who in this time needs the Lavalle family and Julio gone to gain the inheritance his sister left behind, had his people tamper with the airplane's fuel and resulted a horrible plane crash. When Julio wakes after the crash he finds that Salome at this point known as Fernanda Lavalle no where to be found. After being rescued Julio and a bunch of Fernandas kids friends go out on a hunt to find her. Julio finds her in an indian tribe's hut. She was injured and had no medical help there. She was taken back to Mexico where she is being treated but at the verge of dying. When she becomes concious and is well enough to go home, the nurse who is hired is actually a friend of Rebecca and helps to try and kill her. After they find out what she is doin to her, she is imprisoned. Soon Julio's father who wasn't really his father was shot at. Fernanda being the only one around was blamed for the incident. Days after in the hospital Julio's father Don Arturo was killed. Fernanda was then found innocent. Well let me just tell you at the end Lucrecia was beaten and robbed for all her money. Fernanda told her kids of her past and that they arent all hers. She reveals to Lucrecia the one who is grandson. Diego dies, And Salome and Julio live happily ever after
