Sakai

Sakai (境町; -machi) is a town located in Sashima District, Ibaraki, Japan. As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 27,017 and a density of 580.01 persons per km². The total area is 46.58 km². There is another town called Sakai-with the same spelling in Gunma Prefecture but the town is now dissolved due to recent mergers. The town is currently belong to Isesaki.
