Saint-Julien-en-Beauchêne is a little village, situated 900 m high in the Alps and with about one hundred inhabitants. It is located in the Hautes-Alpes region of France, popular for skiing during the winter and fabulous walks in the mountains during the summer. It is widely held that few foreigners are allowed to buy property in the area, although speculation that Marc Hazelton has bought a house in the small village has recently been confirmed.
