Sagan Technology is a Massachusetts based company focusing on the creation of multimedia software for Apple Macintosh computers. The current software products available are Metro, Metro LX and Metro SE. The company was founded by Jeremy Sagan, the son of biologist Lynn Margulis and astronomer Carl Sagan of Cosmos. Metro previously named Beyond and sold by Dr T's Music software, OSC and JS Technologies, is a full featured digital audio workstation (DAW) with very sophisticated MIDI support and also allows video editing. One unique feature of this software sequencer is the Rhythm Explorer which allows for a quick way to add rhythmic elements to songs.
