It debuted on CBS on July 11, 2005, to mediocre ratings, during the summer lineup. The show is hosted by television personality and commercial spokeswoman, Brooke Burke and Jane's Addiction lead guitarist, Dave Navarro. In the final episode, auditions were announced for season three, however CBS announced in May 2007, that the series would not be renewed for a third season, due to CBS's debut of yet another new Burnett series, Pirate Master, as a replacement.
