Robin Mattson (born June 1, 1956 in Los Angeles) is an American soap opera actress. She is arguably the best known character actress on daytime serials, with all of her roles proving to be extremely popular, yet none of them were especially unique from the others: she was typically cast in supporting, "villainess" type roles. Mattson's soap roles include:

Robin acted in the romantic comedy movie The Last Guy on Earth (2006) (post production).

Trivia

  • Her nutty character on All My Children was referred to by other characters as well as television columnists as "Janet from Another Planet".
  • Janet was originally supposed to have a bomb explode Trevor and Laurel's wedding chapel. The plot, however, was reworked because the Oklahoma City bombing took place shortly before the intended episode was to air. Mattson herself delivered an on-air announcement regarding the change to the story.
  • Mattson is a gourmet cook. She co-authored the cook book Soap Opera CafĂ© : The Skinny on Food from a Daytime Star.
