Robert Maschio (born August 25, 1966) is an American actor.

Personal Life
His father is a lawyer in New York. His brother, Michael, is a writer as well as a history teacher at South Side High School in Rockville Centre, New York.
Early life
Maschio was born in New York, and grew up in Syosset, Long Island. He attended Columbia University in New York City, graduating in 1992. During his junior year he studied abroad, and in his senior year he began performing musical theatre, appearing in plays such as Pippin, Anything Goes, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. After college, Robert joined the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, where he studied acting under Sanford Meisner, developer of the Meisner technique. After leaving the Playhouse, he began a theatre career in New York, appearing in plays at the Synchronicity Space, the Actor's Studio and The American Place Theatre, during which time he started writing and performing his own stand up comedy.
Career
After making guest appearances on various TV shows such as Bram and Alice, he eventually found fame playing "Dr. Todd 'The Todd' Quinlan," a hypersexual surgeon in friend Bill Lawrence's sitcom Scrubs. He has also guest-starred in another Lawrence production, Spin City, in 1996, and played a jury member in Veronica Mars in 2005. During the summer of 2006, he played Louis Browning, a rapist on the daytime soap 'As The World Turns'. Louis Browning was slashed to death by a serial killer called 'the slasher'. Robert Maschio has expressed his enjoyment playing the soap opera role.
