Friedrich Adolf Richter was a German toy manufacturer and pharmaceutical manufacturer and founder of the Anker factory in Rudolstadt, Germany. He was born 1846 in Herford, Westphalia and died 1910 in Rudolstadt. The Anker factory produced the popular Anchor Stone Blocks from the 19th century up to 1963. The factory was refounded in 1993 by a group of enthusiasts and is producing some of the old sets again.
