Richard (Rick) Markle (1971 – 2006) was a poet, an artist, and a celebrated, meticulous rotoscope artist lead. His most recent movie work was on Charlotte's Web, where he "created" Templeton the rat. Earlier he worked on Hellboy, a movie based on the Dark Horse Comics character. He also worked on many commercial features. Richard was known to his friends and colleagues as Rex Mundi, a name also once used for a Dark Horse Comics character. Richard died at age 35, due to an accidental fall, and left behind a large body of mostly undocumented work.
