Revival
(2007)

Revival is a 2007 studio album by American singer-songwriter-guitarist John Fogerty, and is his first new album in three years. The album is also the third album (the first two were compilation and live albums) since rejoining Fantasy Records. It was released on October 2, 2007 (see 2007 in music).[1] The cover design echoes the silhouette design of Fogerty's first solo album The Blue Ridge Rangers. The first single from the album is "Don't You Wish It Was True" of which a music video of this song can be viewed from the external link below from the official John Fogerty web site. The album debuted at number 14 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling about 65,000 copies in its first week.[2] The album is nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album of 2007. This album was #11 on Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007.[3] This song "Gunslinger" was #12 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.[4]

Concert Tour

On the opening night of the tour at the Hammerstein Ballroom the beginning of the show features the album cover artwork projected on a giant screen. The silo of Fogerty bends down, picks up a guitar from the corn, and puts it on. As the lights come on it is revealed that it is really John Fogerty playing the opening song River is Waiting high in the air. The sets have varied in length from 24 songs to 28 songs and is a mixture of new songs and classic Creedence Clearwater Revival songs.
