"Resistance" is an episode of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica television series.

Plot

Survivor Count: 47,861 Some ships in the fleet protest martial law by refusing to resupply Galactica. Col. Tigh decides to take the supplies by force, but due to a shortage of marines, he has to use pilots and other Galactica crew for these duties. The Kobol survey team is rescued, and they decide to keep quiet about Baltar killing Lt. Crashdown; Baltar himself says that Crashdown died "valiantly" and should be honored. Upon his return to Galactica, Chief Tyrol discovers that Galactica-Boomer is indeed a Cylon agent who tried to kill Commander Adama. Tigh suspects that Tyrol could be working with her, and has him arrested and thrown in her cell. Although she is relieved and overjoyed to see him, he can barely control his disgust and anger at her. Cally demands Baltar help Tyrol or she will tell the "truth" about Crashdown. Likewise, Tigh demands to know why Baltar "passed" Galactica-Boomer with the Cylon Detector. Baltar explains her test was preliminary and that he was still working out flaws in the design. Baltar later feigns a blood test on Chief Tyrol injecting him with a poison knocking him out. He then forces Galactica-Boomer to reveal the number of Cylon agents aboard the fleet by withholding the antidote. After Galactica-Boomer reveals that there are eight agents, Baltar gives Chief Tyrol the antidote. Meanwhile, marines raid the supply ship Gideon. There, pilot Lt. Joe "Hammerhead" Palladino begins to lose control of his marine team as a crowd turns increasingly hostile. Shots are fired at the civilians and a riot breaks out. Four civilians are killed and twelve are wounded. Elsewhere, Capt. Apollo arranges for President Laura Roslin to escape the brig with the clandestine help of Petty Officer Dualla and Lt. Gaeta, among others. Roslin's erstwhile enemy Tom Zarek helps them hide her in the fleet. Back on Caprica, Helo and Starbuck encounter humans who have survived the initial Cylon attacks and formed a resistance group. Although civilian in composition they have had their successes. After an initial confrontation and face-off they each realize that the other are friendlies, not Cylons. Starbuck quickly falls for their leader, Samuel Anders. Back on Galactica, Galactica-Boomer is to be transferred to a specially constructed holding cell. Baltar is repulsed when he is asked to perform experiments upon her, but during the transfer through Galactica passageways, an angry Cally shoots Galactica-Boomer, in revenge for Tyrol. Galactica-Boomer dies in Tyrol's arms.
