IMDb profile

Repossessed is a 1990 comedy film that spoofed The Exorcist. The film featured the original star of The Exorcist, Linda Blair, as well as Leslie Nielsen and Anthony Starke. Many gags were based around events in The Exorcist, such as the green-vomit and head-spinning scenes. It was written and directed by Bob Logan. It had a particularly rapid pace of pop culture references, especially as the movie neared the end, and it still holds a large cult following. WWE commentators "Mean Gene" Okerlund and Jesse "The Body" Ventura played a semi-major role in the movie's climax.

Trivia

  • When Father Mayii is speaking to the class, sitting in the front row dressed in a different outfit, and with her hair done differently and wearing glasses is Linda Blair playing another role in the film.

Translations

  • German : "Von allen Geistern besessen!"
  • French : "L'exorciste en folie"
  • Spanish : "¿Y dónde está el exorcista?"
  • Portuguese: "Repossuída"
