Rene Reyes (born February 21, 1978) is a Major League Baseball center fielder and switch-hitter batter who plays for the Colorado Rockies. Reyes was born in Margarita, Nueva Esparta State, Venezuela. One of the best pure hitting prospects around, he is a good outfielder and his speed is above-average. Since Reyes struggled in two trials with the Rockies in 2003-04. He did not play any professional baseball in 2005. In two seasons, Reyes has batted .220 with two home runs and eight RBI in 81 games. See also
