Reginald Wayne "Reggie" Brown is a former American football linebacker in the National Football League. He played with the Detroit Lions for short career in 1996 and 1997.
College
Brown played college football at Texas A&M University.
NFL career
Brown was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 1996 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He had a rather short career, playing only 32 games. Brown suffered a spinal cord contusion while assisting on a tackle of New York Jets halfback Adrian Murrell in the closing game of 1997, the 32nd and final game of his career. He lay motionless for 17 minutes, briefly losing consciousness. CPR saved his life, and emergency surgery may have saved him from life in a wheelchair.
After the NFL
Brown is mobile and active, he is in management at a car dealership group in Dallas, Texas with his body feeling better than it has in years.
