- Indonesian reformation that occurred immediately after the downfall of Suharto as President.
- Reformasi movement in Malaysia that was initiated by former Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim immediately after he was sacked by former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
